He is also the author of Building (1994), a coauthor of A Consumer's Guide to Home Improvement, Renovation and Repair (1990), and the editor of Country's Best Log Homes Magazine. He and his wife have renovated an 1860s frame townhouse and a 1910 brick colonial.
