Brooke Stoddard has been teaching people how to do construction projects for over 25 years first as a writer and editor for the Time-Life home improvement book series and later as a co-author of the Consumer's Guide to Home Improvement, Renovation, and Repair published by Wiley in 1990. He is a member of the National Press Club as well as a member and former chapter president of the American Society of Journalists and Authors. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and three children.
