Description
The ocean pointer is a strip-built 20ft outboard skiff - ideal for getting around, without getting wet and without taking too much time. Able to accommodate a 25-75hp outboard, it is a proven design, and being strip-built, is an especially forgiving boatbuilding method for the less experienced builder. This book provides step-by-step instructions on how to build this classic wooden boat.

Person
David Stimson makes his living designing and building boats in Maine as well as Vinyard Haven, Massachusetts. He grew up on Cape Cod and learned boatbuilding while working in the local boatyards. His love of traditional boatbuilding was inspired by his friend and mentor, Merton Long, as well as the writings of John Gardner and Pete Culler in the 1970s, and by WoodenBoat magazine.
