Description
"Alea has felt the pull of the sea for as long as she can remember--and yet she's been told to never get too close to the water as it could be fatal to her. That was her mother's warning--her last words--before she disappeared. In search of the secret of her origins, Alea joins a group of kids--the Alpha Cru--who travel the seas on a sailboat. During a storm, she is swept overboard. After that nothing is the same again"--Provided by publisher.

With Tanya Stewner and books, it wasn't love at first sight. After her elementary school teacher said that Tanya would probably never learn to read and write properly, it was at the age of ten that Tanya discovered her passion for writing. From that point on, the stories just started to flow. Stewner studied literature and worked as a translator and editor for several years. She now devotes herself entirely to her writing. Her children's book series, especially Alea Aquarius, are huge successes both in Germany and internationally.
