Networks

Modeled after Chomsky's "The Deep Structure of Language", this book looks at the two structures of hierarchies and networks and their symbiotic relationship with each other in a variety of examples: natural (Brownian motion), physical (atomic and molecular organization, as well as "man-made" objects) and cultural (corporate, tribal, and trade networks). It will have broad appeal to scientists and general readers of science as well as management scientists and practitioners who must be aware of these models when intervening or changing them. It is filled with anecdotes which made the science "user-friendly."
