Gr 2-4-Although there is solid information on every page of this field guide to the rain forest for elementary age explorers, there are some animals printed in ink undetectable to the eye without the help of the included UV flashlight, complete with batteries. It nestles into the corner of the book, ready to shine on the page, and the cool factor is obvious, say, when more pink river dolphins come into view or an array of blue morpho butterflies appears. It's pretty clear that this would not stand up to wide circulation. VERDICT A nice guide to keep at the desk or to use in school rooms. --School Library JournalMore details
