Description
Meet Ruby. Ruby can do ANYTHING. She knows what she wants, and NOTHING is going to stop her - not a rainy day, a hard-to-reach treehouse or a pesky skateboard. Just you wait and see . . .
With expressive, retro illustrations from exciting new illustration talent Hazel Quintanilla, this empowering book celebrates strong girls the world over. Little ones will LOVE Ruby - the ultimate feisty role model to show young girls how to harness their voice and inner strength.
"There is so much for girls to enjoy in this book. Stereotypes are explored, considered, and shattered as readers empathise with the splendidly anarchic central character . . . Parents and teachers will enjoy sharing this book with young children and will find the text invites conversations and important ideas." - Jaki Brien, School Librarian Magazine Review.

Stephanie Stansbie (Author)
Stephanie has been a children's book editor, and then an author, for most of her adult life. She adores editing and writing in equal measure and has always worked on illustrated books, where the art is as important as the word. The books she has written have been translated into more than 15 different languages. Stephanie lives in Oxford, England, and enjoys goofing about with her family and friends, going to the theatre and chocolate porridge.
Hazel Quintanilla (Illustrator)
Hazel Quintanilla has been drawing since she was a little girl, when she used to carry a pencil and a small notebook around in a cute furry bear face bag bought for her by her mum. She also carried cheese strings in it! She really loves dogs and illustrating with bold colours and cute shapes.
