Roger Standing (D.Min.,Denver Seminary) is the Regional Minister/Team Leader of the newly formed Southern Counties Baptist Association in the UK, and tutor in Mission, Church Planting and Evangelism from September 2007 at Spurgeon's College, London. He began preaching at 16, and has been an evangelist at Central Hall, Liverpool. Roger has always had an evangelistic emphasis in his ministry with the relationship between Christianity and contemporary culture a particular focus of his concern and wider writing. This is seen in his books Preaching for the Unchurched in an Age of Entertainment (Cambridge: Grove Books Evangelism Series, 2002); Finding the Plot: preaching in a narrative style (Carlisle: Paternoster, 2004) and Re-emerging Church: strategies for reaching a returning generation (Oxford: BRF, 2008).
