Description
Combinatorial Biotechnology: Methods for Synthesis of Peptide, Oligonucleotide and Oligosaccharide Libraries and Applications covers methods used for synthesizing peptide, oligonucleotide, and oligosaccharide libraries. It presents the concepts of combinatorial biotechnology, detailing both solid phase and solution phase synthesis techniques, including modern biological methods such as in vitro and in vivo display libraries. Key topics include solid phase synthesis, parallel peptide synthesis, encoding technologies, deconvolution methods, and chemical and biological ligations. With chapters covering the chemical and biological synthesis of recombinant peptides and proteins, as well as the genetic reprogramming of the genetic code, this book offers a rich source of practical guidance.
The inclusion of advanced methods and illustrative examples makes it a unique and essential reference in the field. This book is an essential resource for undergraduate and postgraduate students in biochemical engineering, biotechnology, and biosciences, as well as industry professionals in R&D divisions. It equips readers with the latest techniques and applications in combinatorial biotechnology, addressing current challenges and advancing their research and development efforts.
