This wonderful volume has been compiled from the sermons of Charles H. Spurgeon. During a season of sickness and recovery, Spurgeon's son found organizing the illustrations, anecdotes, and similes used by his beloved father a pleasing pastime. Knowing the Lord's archers' desire for the arrows of truth to stick fast in the hearts of the King's enemies, it was felt that such a sheaf of arrows, so well barbed, would prove useful to fellow bowmen.

Charles Haddon (C. H.) Spurgeon (1834-1892) was a British Baptist preacher. He started preaching at age 16 and quickly became famous. He is still known as the "Prince of Preachers" and frequently had more than 10,000 people present to hear him preach at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London. His sermons were printed in newspapers, translated into many languages, and published in many books.
