Description
A guide to both classical and structural methods of analysis which attempts to assist the reader to understand efficient computer solutions, but also emphasizes the importance of understanding the principles behind these methods and of recognizing when a classical method is more appropriate. "MATOP", a matrix manipulation program in FORTRAN 77 developed by the author, is used to solve many of the worked examples. A complete printout and user manual are given in an appendix so that readers can copy and adapt MATOP for their own use.
