Written by Sandy Stozen, a Special Education Teacher for over thirty years and mom to Tyler, who has severe Autism. Since the time her son was two years old, his behaviors would often invoke stares, comments, and sadly criticisms from people. Children would ask their parents, "What is he doing?" and the parent's response was often, "Don't stare!"
