Faculty Development Companion Workbook: Teaching in a Lab or Shop Environment Module 13

Module 13 addresses the special requirements of instructors teaching in a non-traditional classroom. The subjects include safety, organization, technology and classroom management issues specific to the lab or the shop. Special activities given are tailored to the lab and shop environments. It includes: section 1: competency-based education: an overview; section 2: teaching strategies in the lab and shop environments; section 3: evaluating student progress; section 4: laboratory/shop management and safety; and section 5: specific lab and shop environments.
