Faculty Development Companion Workbook: Assessing and Evaluating the Adult Learner Module 5

Module 5 discusses evaluation of the adult learner through formal grading and informal assessment of progress in the classroom and in activities. The module identifies and discusses effective and ineffective feedback, grading, development of project criteria, and designing of evaluation tools. Additionally, the module discusses ways for faculty to assess their own skills and develop plans for improvement. The sections included in this module are as follows: section 1: assessment and evaluation; section 2: grading the adult learner; section 3: design and content of evaluation tools; section 4: assessing student progress; and section 5: faculty assessment.
