Description
Effy lives with her herd in the savannah forest of West Africa. She has just turned three years old and has become Little Miss Independent. Effy is excited and ready for an adventure.
She wanders off from her herd while they are grazing. She follows a lion cub, Kafui, and becomes friends with him. The new friends chat for a long time, learning about each other and playing exciting games. But Effy is exposed to danger when Kafui's mother comes to look for him. Effy runs for dear life and is rescued by her mother and brother.
Back with her herd, she learns more about life as an elephant and teaches her cousin Naa to play hide and seek. While hiding from Naa, Effy meets Kwasi, a talking drum all alone, and decides to be his friend.
Will this new friendship put Effy in danger again?
