Won-pyung Sohn obtuvo su licenciatura en Estudios Sociales y Filosofía en la Universidad de Sogang, así como la de Dirección de Cine en la Academia Coreana de Artes Cinematográficas. Ha recibido varios premios y distinciones por su obra cinematográfica. Su debut literario llegó en 2017, cuando su novela Almendra ganó el Premio Changbi de literatura juvenil y se convirtió inmediatamente en un éxito de crítica y ventas. Su segunda novela, Born in 1988, ganó el Jeju 4.3 Peace Literary Award. En la actualidad, combina su actividad profesional como escritora, directora de cine y guionista. Won-pyung Sohn earned his bachelor's degree in Social Studies and Philosophy from Sogang University, as well as a degree in Film Directing from the Korean Academy of Film Arts. He has received several awards and honors for his cinematographic work. His literary debut came in 2017, when his novel Almendra won the Changbi Prize for Young People's Literature and immediately became a critical and best-selling success. Her second novel, Born in 1988, won the Jeju 4.3 Peace Literary Award. Currently, she combines her professional activity as a writer, film director and screenwriter.
