The Road Here

He wasn't supposed to end up here on this narrow stretch of road in a rural border village in Northeast Thailand. Not the way it happened. Not from where it all started. Following a string of confounding misadventures that slowly unraveled him, and a decade of love affairs that threatened to end him, he walked away. After a night in Tokyo that he'd never fully be able to explain, he found himself on an overnight train bound for somewhere maps forgot. What he found when he got there changed everything.
