Migration Systems and Public Policy

How is policy affected by migration flows? This book is a systematic analysis of this issue, focusing on two major case studies - the Inter-American-US and Maghrebi-European migration systems.

It provides a historically grounded account of these migration processes, taking into consideration the timing and sequence of events in migration and policy development, in order to develop a contextualised, theoretically infomed understanding.
