This was awarded for his books Coping with Prostate Cancer (2002) and Living with Alzheimer's Disease (2001, Sheldon Press). This is just two of many titles he has written for Sheldon including Heart Attacks. Tom Smith, who still practises as a GP, lives in Ayrshire.
