Description
This text is designed to provide a full coverage of all the material in the new single subject linear and modular syllabuses due to be taught from 1998. Before the A Level work begins, the book aims to provide the means to bring students with C grade GCSE mathematics to a standard required to tackle A Level. The first two chapters are dedicated to improving the student's grasp of algebra and geometry, with clearly labelled exercises which can be selected to meet the students specific needs, or the needs of the whole class. Most exercises contain a number of questions designed to stretch the more able student beyond the routine and on the more creative side of the subject. In addition to these exercises, each chapter concludes with a selection of recent exam questions from all major A Level examination boards.
