June Smalls has been making up stories since she only had pets and stuffed animals to share them with. She writes fiction and nonfiction books that are funny, educational, odd, and entertaining for both the educational and trade markets. June loves research almost as much as writing and would love to dig up a dinosaur! She lives in northern Virginia with her family and an ever-growing assortment of animals.
Grace Habib was born in the suburbs of Chicago to immigrant parents. Her mom was from Seoul, South Korea and her father is from Beirut, Lebanon. Living with two different ethnic backgrounds, her life was enriched with art, food, and culture. Since she was a little girl, Grace loved to draw animals all the time. Her parents encouraged her to follow her passion in art. From there, she graduated with honors with a BFA Illustration from Columbus College of Art and Design. Grace worked as a kids greeting card designer at American Greetings for over 4 years and now she is freelancing. In her free time, she loves to find new places to eat, travel, and find the cutest coffee shops nearby. She has two mini dachshunds named Olive and Copper!
