People and Environments

A class text for geography courses at A Level, "People and Environments" also provides a source of ideas for debate and extension work, and individual project work. Each issue is examined within the context of an expanded case study, taken from both the developed and developing world, These case studies are grouped into five broad themes: people, migration and urban environments (Europe, Latin America, Zambia, USA); power, policies and food production (Peru, USA, Mexico, EEC, China); development and regional planning (Lesotho, Brazil, India, Nigeria); industrial change and resource development (Europe, SE Asia, Zambia, UK); managing and mismanaging the natural environment (pollution, trampling, drainage basins, water allocation, weather).
