'This is an exciting addition to current legal texts. All new law students and readers with a general interest in modern legal issues will find it well worth reading. Slapper and Kelly are both well seasoned writers, who produce a subtle blend of knowledge and teaching methods in English Law ... I feel that these two tutors have written the best introduction to the subject yet produced. It is certainly required reading for A-Level and undergraduate studies because it combines a reasonable amount of detail with useful summaries at the end of each chapter ...
