Description
Writers at Work is a high-beginning/low-intermediate text aimed at preparing students to write academic English. The Student's Book begins with an introductory section that teaches the writing process. Following are eight chapters focusing on paragraph writing and two final chapters on simple multi-paragraph writing. Each chapter had five parts, one for each stage of the writing process: getting ideas, organizing ideas, drafting, revising, and editing. Chapters are thematic and have titles such as ?A Scary or Funny Experience,? ?The Ideal Spouse,? and ?Holidays.? Student interaction is encouraged through small-group work and peer revision. A special editing section at the end deals with the common errors that students make in writing.
