N. B. Singh is a professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, School of Basic Sciences and Research, and Research Development Cell, Sharda University, Greater Noida, India. He has been the head of the Chemistry Department and Dean of the Faculty of Science, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) Gorakhpur University, India. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Free University of Brussels, Belgium, during 1973-1974 and has received the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt fellowship (Germany) in 1977. Prof. Singh has been teaching postgraduate and undergraduate classes in chemistry and materials science for the last 50 years and has worked at various universities in Germany. His main areas of research are materials science, solid-state chemistry, cement chemistry, thermodynamics, and water purification.
S. S. Das is a professor of physical chemistry and was associated with the Department of Chemistry, DDU Gorakhpur University for more than 30 years. His specializations are in the field of thermodynamics, polymer science, and solid-state chemistry. He has authored 5 books on physical chemistry and polymer science and published more than 85 research papers and reviews in international and national journals of repute. He has also supervised 14 PhD students. He has been associated with a large number of academic bodies and has been an executive committee member of the Indian Thermal Analysis Society, BARC Mumbai, India, for two consecutive terms. He is a recipient of a number of medals and awards for his academic contributions.
Narendra Pratap Singh is Dean of the Faculty of Science at Udai Pratap Autonomous College, Varanasi, India, with 32 years of teaching experience at postgraduate and undergraduate levels. His main area of research is materials science, cement chemistry, and solid-state chemistry. Prof. Singh has published 60 research papers in reputed journals, edited 3 books, and contributed 6 book chapters. He has also supervised 16 PhD students.
Preeti Gupta is presently working as an assistant professor at the Department of Chemistry, DDU Gorakhpur University. Her specializations are in the field of inorganic chemistry, polymer science, solid-state chemistry, and spectroscopy. She has published two book chapters and a number of research papers in international journals of repute. She is taking care of one major and one minor project funded by a prestigious research organization in her country.
