Description
Clean milk production is an important occupation of rural farmers in India. Knowledge and adoption of scientific clean milk production practices have great potential to improve the quality of milk. Milking is the most important process on a dairy farm when it comes to producing clean milk. The majority of dairy producers have implemented regular dairy management practices in the areas of animal housing, milking space, milking implements, and milking animal feeding. But the adoption was not satisfactorily despite the fact that the majority of respondents were positive about some of the practices. As a result, efforts should be made to persuade dairy producers to take preventative measures in order to produce high-quality milk. It is a general perception that farmers are doing milking practices with a lack of scientific knowledge of clean milk production. The findings might be utilised by planners, policymakers as well as field veterinarians and scientists of dairy experts in making effective, realistic and need based training programs to make dairy a highly profitable business enterprise and elevate the standard of living.
