Description
This book describes a powerful set of reusable Modula-2 software components written using the Logitech Modula-2 system for IBM PC compatible machines running under MS-DOS. It discusses reusable software components in general and reviews components in existing libraries. Some of the problems associated with developing and using FORTRAN and C libraries are outlined and the notion of generic software components is introduced. The development of reusable software components in Modula-2 is discussed in some detail together with the benefits of data abstraction. The use of all components and the numerous utilities and data structures are also examined, illustrated with numerous examples. The book includes error handling and parameters of the interfaces to the software, test programs each of the utilities offered, and all components on an accompanying disk.
