Eat Cake, lose weight . . . no joke! If this sounds too good to be true-for once, it's not. That's because strategically timed cheating is required on The Carb Party Diet-to keep your metabolism revved up and burning fat. It's not all about eating cake, but you can eat the "so bad, but so good" foods often enough that you don't feel deprived. And you can have fun doing it, too, if you start a Carb Party group to help you. Laura Bartlett is a donut-loving stand-up comedian in a family of doctors. She is the founder and executive producer of Four Funny Females, an award winning, all-female stand-up comedy troupe based in Dallas, Texas, created as a grassroots movement to get women laughing again. In the same spirit, Laura taps into the power of "sisterhood" in her book The Carb Party Diet. She understands that anything is possible when women are helping women. To that end, she is thrilled to share a fat-loss solution that doesn't require women to restrict or remove themselves from meaningful social interactions for the sake of losing weight. Hannah Sinclair is a former nationally ranked high school women's wrestler who has spent most of her life as a human "diet" guinea pig, trying to lose weight to pass rigid weight-class competition requirements. Her obsession with the scale led her to experiment with diet hacks and tricks that were ultimately damaging to her metabolism and overall health. Fortunately, she discovered a fat-loss process that is mostly unknown among women: the science of carb cycling. As a result, Hannah lost 15-20 lb. of fat while enjoying her favorite foods. Hannah now enjoys Carb Parties with her boyfriend, Mitch, and her Carb Party Diet co-author and future mother-in-law, Laura.
