Roots of Change

The Roots of Change focuses attention on the source of local agrarian change: human creativity and social interaction. Building on the view that these innate human characteristics are central forces in the evolution of local agricultural systems, this volume explores the patterns of farmers' individual and joint behaviour in the generation, adaption and spread of new agricultural practices.
