Description
The Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy charity is a major provider of music therapy in the UK. Each year it raises nearly GBP3m to fund over 30,000 music therapy sessions at over 50 nationwide locations, as well as support training programmes and much-needed research. Every Note Counts traces the extraordinary story of how in five decades a groundbreaking musical application that began quietly in a children's home in the Worcestershire countryside, has transformed the lives of many thousands of children and adults through the power of music therapy, pioneered by two visionaries, Paul Nordoff and Clive Robbins. This book is dedicated to all the committed music therapists, the numerous musicians and other professionals who have contributed to the work of the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy charity over 32 years, and to those who have had the vision and tenacity to make this work possible through their support for the charity. Every Note Counts is a tribute to the thousands of children and adults, their families and carers for whom music as a therapy has been a life-enhancing and healing experience.

Well done!" Clive Robbins
