Anatomy Of A Conference

This is an analytical account of the management and practice of multi-party diplomacy at the international conference held in 1995 to review how the 1970 Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty operated in the subsequent 25 years and to decide whether the Treaty should be extended beyond 1995. The book explores the range of non-proliferation and disarmament issues raised at the conference and the decisions that were taken. It also seeks to explain the various outcomes in terms of the nature of the multilateral negotiations it engaged in.
