Lisa M. Bolt Simons has been a teacher for more than 20 years, and she's been a writer for as long as she can remember. She has written more than 20 nonfiction children's books, as well as a history book, Faribault Woolen Mill: Loomed in the Land of Lakes, and she is currently working on several other projects. Both her nonfiction and fiction works have been recognized with various accolades. In her spare time, Lisa loves to read and to scrapbook. Originally from Colorado, Lisa currently lives in Minnesota with her husband, Dave, and she's the mom of twins, Jeri and Anthony. She was a busy sports mom for over a decade.
