Literature Guide to the GLC of Body Fluids

The literature references in this volume are intended for those individuals who are presently engaged, or those who desire to work, in the determination of the substances encountered in the analysis of human body fluids using the gas chromatographic method. The human body fluids covered include amniotic fluid, bile, blood, cerebrospinal fluid, human milk, saliva, seminal fluid, and urine, and the bibliography also includes some general references which may be help- ful to the chromatographer whose interest lies in the examination or assay of body fluids. Biochemists, forensic scientists, clinical chemists, toxicologists, laboratory technicians, pharmaceutical chemists, and others engaged in the administration of drugs to overcome disease or malfunctions of human body mechanisms which may be observed or detec~ed through the assay of the body fluids should find this work of value. Body fluid analysis has also been found to be of value for the detection of illicit drugs, sports doping, alcohol overuse, as well as exposure to dangerous chemicals in polluted areas.
Almost every literature reference is followed by a CA (Chemical Abstracts) number, which the reader can use to find an abstract of the reference, along with the information necessary to contact the author(s) for reprints of the cited reference.
