Description
This humorous depiction of "awkward evangelism" opens with two couples arriving at a soccer game to watch their seven-year-old daughters play. As the game progresses, Lee loudly criticizes his daughter playing, while Roger attempts to be more encouraging of his daughter. Lee asks Roger how he manages to remain so controlled. Faced with the unexpected challenge to share his faith, Roger panics and spits out the salvation message in rapid fire fashion, leaving Lee a little confused and in need of a repeat. Instead, Roger finds himself inviting Lee and his wife over to his house after the game for a cookout. The invitation is enthusiastically accepted. Just then, Roger's daughter helps Lee's score the team's first goal of the season. As the parents celebrate, we see a friendship in the making and know that this will be the basis for a more comfortable sharing of faith.
