A fresh, modern retelling of Longfellow's famous love poem Evangeline, Anxious Hearts tells the story of Evangeline and Gabriel, two teenagers who live in the idyllic village of Acadia. On the day that the young lovers are to be wed, their village is attacked and the two are separated. Thus begins an epic search for each other. Unknowingly, two modern teens, Eva and Gabe, trace their footsteps. And then Gabe mysteriously disappears.
