Description
The DMW primarily used to hook up austenitic stainless steel piping with ferritic steel pressure vessel nozzles in power plants. The Weld joint locations are vital in assessment to base metal and their truthfulness is required to be guaranteed beside break. In this work, 2-D and 3-D XFEM analyses have been performed on the different fracture toughness test specimens to quantify the effect of weld strength and weld slenderness.
