Thompson's introduction is impeccably well judged, and hits the ground running with precisely the kinds of generic and moral concerns that are so fruitful in tutorial- and/or seminar-based discussion. The illustrations are well chosen ... and the exploration of 'moorishness' in its myriad manifestations is exemplary.
