Description
Seiler´s approch to language universal research has been the leading idea for a group of researchers called UNITYP. It has been operating during the years of 1972 to 1992. Seiler himself has continuously worked on further clarifying and developing his approach. The studies assembled here bears testimony to this. It makes clear that the observable facts of individual languages participate in universality without being themselves universal. The present collection evidences the originality of Seiler´s approach as being open to continuous further research. It is therefore apt to serve as an introduction to the theoretical underpinnings of the entire approach.
