Description
If you hide it, they will come. Unwitting teenagers, tech embezzlers, a hacker named TacoCat...
Adrienne (Renn) Chao is your typical overachiever, focused on her ACTs and finding the last geocache in Black Hawk Bend. When her hunt runs up against a fence, Renn trespasses on the grounds of tech billionaire Jason Silver's Midwest lab.
Jack Henderson has a knack for gadgets. He is content to tag along with Renn until they discover a puzzle in the cache. When Jack is sidelined from football, he is driven to pursue its mysteries. But some mysteries were not meant to be uncovered.
Renn and Jack are in over their heads, and they know it. After seeking help from an enigmatic hacker for hire and a shy math whiz, they follow the clues to the next cache. But when they are blackmailed for its secrets, they must pull out all the stops to save themselves. They must infiltrate the very heart of Silver Labs.

Person
Chris Schwarz was born in Moline amidst amber waves of grain and green tractors. He grew up reading J.R.R. Tolkien and Robert Heinlein, ultimately becoming an engineer rather than a wizard, but not by choice.
The son of an immigrant, he was the first in his family to attend college. Along the way he picked up a Ph.D. in engineering and learned to Salsa dance. By day he writes about research on advanced vehicles done with a big ole' driving simulator, and by night he writes his own stories.
He is the author of a young adult series featuring four high school friends solving mysteries tinged with science and technology. Its first installment, The Cache, is coming soon.
Fueled by chai lattes and dark chocolate, Chris lives in Iowa City with his wife, son and dogs, and waits patiently for self-driving cars to figure out snow.
