Description
3D graphics entails the manipulation and representation of spatial objects. Using the programs in this book, you can experience this yourself on any micro computer which supports graphics. The programs are written in PASCAL. The principal reason for choosing this programming language is its modular program structure. Dividing complicated graphical methods into many small procedures enhances clarity. The book is particularly suitable for readers who are more interested in fast solutions for their special graphics applications than in acquiring a deeper knowledge of 3D-graphics. The interface to the basic graphics software and the hardware of various computers differs from machine to machine. As a result, many books on computer graphics are based on one type of computer only. This restriction does not apply to this book because of the modular program structure. By changing one single procedure and some constants, the programs can be adapted to any PASCAL system in which a line segment can be drawn in high resolution graphics. Discs with the programs of this book are available for the IBM PC and compatible computers and for APPLE computers.
