The Computer Speech Book

This work covers speech recognition from three perspectives: an overview of the technology, a user guide to ICSS and IPDS, and a programming overview for beginning to intermediate programmers on taking advantage of the technology. It describes who needs the technology - doctors and lawyers (hands-free computing) and disabled computer users including the visually impaired or physically challenged. Details are provided on other products such as Dragon Dictate and VORAMS, and a CD-ROM or disk is included with samples of IBM's products, IPDS and ICSS.
