Description
Drama is proposed as a new reference point for the teaching and learning of non-native languages. Authors from a variety of cultural, linguistic and professional backgrounds present a wide range of dramatic approaches to language teaching, offering the latter a series of fresh and challenging impulses. The volume as a whole represents a first step towards the establishment of a method of foreign language teaching based on drama, as a holistic method in its own right; and in so doing aims also to initiate a new field for research: namely drama in foreign-language teaching.
