Gretchen Scalpi, RD, CDN, CDE is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with more than twenty-five years of experience as a nutrition counselor. She owns a private practice and works with clients with health issues mainly focusing on diabetes and pre-diabetes. In addition, Scalpi is a consultant for long-term care and has taught nutrition classes at two area colleges. She has served as a contributing reviewer for the sixth edition of Contemporary Nutrition, and is the author of The Everything Diabetes Cookbook, 2nd Edition. She currently serves as the President of the Mid-Hudson Dietetic Association.
