Description
Internet of Things (IoT) is an upcoming platform where information and communication technology connects multiple embedded devices to the Internet for performing information exchange. Owing to the immense development of this technology, embedded devices are becoming more sophisticated every day and are being deployed in various areas of life. An important advancement in today's technology is the ability to connect such devices to large resource pools such as the cloud. Integration of embedded devices and cloud services brings wide applicability of IoT in many commercial as well as government sectors. In this book, I propose an efficient biometrics-based remote user authentication scheme, by deploying a face-based biometric authentication with liveness detection facilities. Moreover, the data to and from the cloud cannot be bluntly trusted as they can tamper. Therefore Curve based Cryptography (HECC) has been employed to ensure data privacy in the cloud and security of data on the fly.
