Description
'Will appeal to readers of J.K. Rowling and Rick Riordan' New York Times Enter the world of the Keepers: a world just beneath the surface of our own. Here, mysterious instruments called Tan'ji grant incredible powers - but only to those few individuals who have the talent. These few are the Keepers. Horace F. Andrews, Keeper of the fabled Box of Promises, knows that nothing is impossible. After all, he has the ability to see into the future, and his friend Chloe can walk through walls. But Horace has now learned that the Mothergates, the mysterious artifacts that power all the Tan'ji in the world, are dying out, and a new battle with their eternal and deadly enemies, the Riven, is now on the horizon. When Horace and Chloe meet Joshua, who is the Keeper of the Laithe of Teneves, a powerful Tanj'i that can be used to open a portal to any location on earth, they think they may have the key to winning the battle - but nothing is as simple as it at first seems ...Ted Sander's magical series continues with THE PORTAL AND THE VEIL, expanding the extraordinary world of The Keepers, where nothing is ever ordinary and three words rule: Curiosity. Discovery. Possibility.
