MVS/ESA Version 4

This volume comprises the alternate edition of "MVS Performance Management" and includes coverage of MVS/ESA Version 4, to take account of the major changes and enhancements to MVS and its systems environment that were announced in September, 1990. Coverage includes information on the changes that have taken place in the MVS environment since 1989; details of the changes to MVS/ESA with regard to some specific performance considerations; a description of the new ES/9000 hardware, based on the ESA/390 architecture; and coverage of new concepts and products such as ESCON channels, HCD, PR/SM, SCF, SystemView and other facilities and utilities.
