Sam had always wanted to be a writer, but didn't take the big step until his early 30s, when he took the plunge and started to turn his numerous ideas into words on paper. Now he finds it hard to tear himself away from his writing room, where he can usually be found with a coffee, his cat, Trigger, and lots of ideas. Sam lives in the UK's Northumberland countryside, which never ceases to inspire him. Richard Watson is an Illustrator based in North Lincolnshire and has been working on children's books since graduating in 2003 with a degree in Illustration from the University of Lincoln. He won the EOCT/SLS Wakefield Riveting Reads Best Picture Book Award 2018 for 'Stone Underpants', and the follow up 'Game of Stones' won best picture book at the Sheffield children's book awards 2018 (Both written by Rebecca Lisle).
