Description
The Purpose of the book is to study tapered fiber optic sensor by investigating different parameters and evanescent field. The main contributions of the book are to propose and demonstrate some important variation based on its parameter. Hopefully, we are able to achieve the main objective of this work by analysing the important factors based on taper angle, sensing length, taper ratio, penetration depth, propagation constant, reflectivity and transmissivity, angle variation with radius, power transmission, sensitivity to characterize an effective sensor. Simulation work is also done using MATLAB to notice the effects of variation. With the knowledge of geometry, taper fiber optic sensor is modeled using COMSOL Multi-physics to scrutinize the effects of optical and electrical field propagation. Lastly taper fiber model has verified by optical beam propagation method (Opti-System) by simulating different models. At later stage this work will be further extended to experimental part. The goal of book:- a) Theoretical survey & Scopeb) Geometrical construction c) Mathematical analysis & Derivationd) MATLAB, COMSOL & OPTIBPM Simulation
