Description
Starting from basic principles and progressing to detailed discussions of applications, this book aims to provide an accessible introduction to phase conjugate optics; its fundamental concepts, including theories, experiments, materials and applications. Following a review of the characteristics of phase-conjugate light, phase-conjugate light generation is introduced. Four-wave mixing is explained and various media for generating phase-conjugate light are examined. The theory of non-four-wave mixing is then considered. One chapter is devoted to important experiments and experimental techniques. Finally, nonlinear optical phenomena are examined from the perspective of phase-conjugate generating media.
