Description
This book includes coverage of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) applications from cardiac physiology to the interpretation and diagnosis of cardiovascular and chest diseases providing up-to-date information on CMR uses, in cardiovascular care and thoracic pathologies from basic principles to the latest imaging techniques.
As part of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Handbook, Second Edition, this book is an ideal guide for clinical practice. It shows the most updated state-of-the-art coverage of CMR technologies and guidelines from basic principles to the latest imaging techniques. A wide section is dedicated to MRI imaging of thoracic structures with a focus on the evaluation of the lungs and its main diseases. This book discusses MRI of the heart, blood vessels, lungs, breasts, diaphragm, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, adrenal glands, and gastrointestinal tract. The new edition has been revised throughout with an extensive update and introduction of new chapters focusing on CMR techniques and COVID-19 related findings. It also includes new chapters focusing on CMR techniques, valvopathies, myocarditis, inflammatory cardiomyopathies, cardiac masses, pseudomassess, tumors, pulmonary embolism, and pulmonary hypertension. The book is part of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Second Edition set.
